How to effectively write a SEO copy

October 28, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is rapidly gaining popularity as an effective marketing tool. There are many companies that offer SEO services and there are thousands of blogs and websites with millions of articles. But in order to be an effective SEO writer you need to know how to write to get the most traffic directed to your web page.

Keywords- This is the most important aspect of writing a SEO copy. First decide what keywords you are going to use. When you type a keyword in the search bar of the search engine it will search for websites that contain the keywords and the sites which mention the keyword many times will be ranked higher in the list. The main purpose is to get the article higher on the list.

Using the keyword many times does not mean that it has to be randomly used throughout the article but it should blend in naturally with the rest of the copy. An article with several repetitions of keywords but with not much substance will not make a reader Bookmark the page.

Make sure the information included in the article is accurate or else you will lose your credentials as a writer.

Importance of keywords in promoting a website

September 25, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

The success of your internet marketing strategy will depend greatly on the use of keywords. People use keywords when searching for information and will look at a website only when they see the keyword. Therefore in order to increase traffic to your website what must you consider when using keywords?

Do research to find suitable keywords for your website; you can use Google Keyword Tool for this, and then determine the level of competition and average number of searches for a keyword. Depending on this decide on the keywords you want to target. Use specific keywords to receive more targeted traffic to your site.

To accurately describe your website use multiple keywords and use them throughout the content of the web page, articles or blog posts. Use them on headings, on the page title and domain name.

Use keywords on your advertisements for your website as people will look at adverts with the keywords and will give the potential customers an idea of what you are selling.

Monitor the number of visitors to the website by using a tool like Google Analytics and see what keywords they use. Change the keywords if they are not bringing in sufficient traffic.

Why SEO is So Crucial for Your Internet Marketing Campaign

September 15, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Although it has been around for more than a decade, search engine optimization (SEO) is still a fairly unknown practice. However, to get your website, videos or local listings seen by search engines and internet users alike, you will need to incorporate into your internet marketing campaign basic SEO techniques. In fact, SEO is a crucial ingredient in every internet marketing campaign, often serving as the missing link between a professional and amateur website. This is also true for online videos and local listings.

Some website owners take the time to learn SEO techniques; others simply don’t have the time or energy to run their marketing campaigns on their own. This is why the majority of website owners and other entrepreneurs hire professional internet marketing companies to do the legwork for them.

A professional internet marketing company, or SEO company, should offer the tools and services to get your website well-ranked in the major search engines. Not sure which company to go with? Consider consulting an independent research company that evaluates and ranks internet marketing service providers. Such companies evaluate and rank SEO companies based on several important factors, making it easier for website owners to find the best company for their needs.

Traits to Look For In A SEO

July 23, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

While the concept of using and SEO is all well and dandy, there are some serious negative consequences to consider before heading down that path. For example, an SEO can give your website or pages a fake feeling to them. With this, you may receive increased hits or traffic, but it will all be ‘bad traffic’, or traffic that truly has no interest in the products or services you are selling and representing. An irresponsible SEO will not be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that negatives do not outweigh the positives in your venture, so finding and paying for a great and reputable SEO is absolutely necessary!

The ways in which an SEO may help though are rather numerous. First off, they have the ability to review your site’s content and structure; helping you to find ways to optimize and streamline your work to make it more efficient and easier for search engines to use. Secondly and perhaps more importantly, the technical assistance that should be able to provide on hosting, redirecting, backlinks, and JavaScript is what truly makes an SEO great. Without these tools, they are simply doing something that many site owners could do on their own time; a little spring cleaning. Therefore if an SEO is advertising his or her skills only with regards to keyword research or a specific background in a targeted demographic, be wary! These are things that just about anyone and everyone can dig up, so ask questions and be thorough when hiring these people.

SEO Basics

June 23, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Search Engine Optimization, or more commonly known as SEO is the art of maximizing your blog or other site to rank highly when searched for via search engines. If this occurs, your visibility to internet traffic will increase and is perhaps the most important factor of your site along with its contents and design. The main facet of SEO is to figure out what words, or ‘keywords’, visitors to your site will use to look for your page and how to successfully use these keywords in a relevant way to improve your website’s status.

Perhaps the paramount factor to a high page rank is to have your keyword inside of the title tag, or what is clickable when a search engine displays results. While this may sound intuitive, the first step to a successful page rank truly is that basic! When an internet visitor is looking for a site for any topic, an informative, brief, but intelligent title tag will make them more likely to pay your site a visit. The best URL structure comes from using the post title as part of the URL while eliminating the post date. This allows it to be readable to the robots that work for search engines, but gives it a human touch and ideal SEO benefits.

Dealing with SEO properly is truly essential to having a webpage that is both visible and relevant for search engines. While catering to keywords and having search engines love your site may be nice, finding a balance between hits and quality is a necessary and good step to take.

Tips to Write Blogs Keeping Search Engine Optimization in Mind

May 23, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

If you own a website, then one of the best ways by which you can direct traffic to your website is by maintaining and writing original content on a blog. The reason for this is because Google indexes blogs that provide content that is most useful to people who search for information using Google Search. What Google also does is also rank websites that are related to what is considered to be high-quality content written on these blogs.

And this is where Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comes into play as well, as this involves writing content specific to the needs of users who use search engines to find content for whatever purpose. So here are a few tips to write a blog keeping SEO in mind:

#1: Keywords, keywords, keywords…

If you are selling a particular product or service, remember to research the most effective keywords that are involved so that your customers can find your website and purchase your product or service. Avoid keyword stuffing as Google is very strict about content appearing natural to the user who needs it.

#2:  Keep your blog updated

One of the most important things to remember is to keep your blog updated with new posts as often as possible since Google will index these blogs immediately and throw them up as results for users who look for these services or products.

#3: Blog promotion is important

Finally, what is important to remember is that once you have an adequate amount of content on your blog, then it is time to promote your blog by using the power of social networking. One of the best ways by which you can do this is by hiring a SEO professional to help you with content creations and promotions as well.
